Priyanka Chopra to play prostitute in Agneepath remake
Priyanka Chopra
will be playing the role of a sex worker in Karan Johar’s remake of the
1990 film, Agneepath opposite Hrithik Roshan.
Speaking to the Times of India, Karan said, “All I can say at the
moment is that my Agneepath is radically different from the Agneepath
that my father has produced. We’ve completely done away with the South
Indian character played by Mithun Chakraborty in the original. My
father was very proud of Agneepath. I hope I don’t let him down with
mine. Amitji (Amitbah Bachchan) had won the National Award for the
film. It’s a tough act to follow for any actor.”
Apparently the original script had a major makeover to make it more appealing to today’s youth.
